With your help, here are some of the projects the Foundation would like to fund.
Homework clubs, run after school, for students who do not have an appropriate work base at home or support.
Awards, house activities and competitions will be available through the house structure, providing opportunities for responsibility, leadership competition and recognition. The Academy will need a meaningful level of prizes to help stimulate the interest and participation of students.
Accreditation: Students will be supported in obtaining accreditation in out-of-school achievements, for example, Youth Achievement and Duke of Edinburgh Awards scheme.
Specialist support for students with special educational needs, including gifted and talented.
Targeted support for year 7 students when they arrive at the Academy.
Plus... Musical instruments and equipment.
An Academy student magazine or newspaper.
Sports equipment. A theatrical association.
Prizes for excellence in each subject area, and
house prizes. |
